New 4X4 reviews – In this issue, we drive a couple of HSVs. No, not the old-school Chev powered petrol V8 road warriors of the past, these are two of HSV’s latest creations. David gets some wheel time with the Silverado (converted to RHD by HSV), and Steane puts the Colorado SportsCat+ to the test.

Let’s not forget Uncle Ray in WA. He’s wading his way through a bunch of 4X4 press cars, and the first-cab-off-the-rank is the latest version of the Prado. Ray thinks it’s a dog, but not in a bad way.

Custom 4X4s – This issue, it’s all about the devil being in the detail. We take a look at a very tidy N80 HiLux set-up for touring and built with obsessive attention to detail by Shane, Emma and Jake. You’ve probably heard of the Project X Isuzu twins by now, and we’ve got the pics to prove that these beautifully built show cars have some real substance.

Special features – we love ’em.

Cool School – David recently had the MY19 Rangers and Everest 4X4s out at his Adventure 4X4 test track as Ford showed clients and dealers just what the recently upgraded vehicles were capable of, and yes, the Raptor stole the show.

Don’t Rock the Boat Baby – The big news in the aftermarket suspension world has been Operation Lift up in Queensland. Brendan has taken a look at what the police were targeting and what you need to know to avoid that yellow canary in any state.

Horse and Cart crap – We love to hate some of the archaic bits our 4X4 utes are still saddled with. In this article, drum brakes and leaf springs are in David’s firing line. Frankly, he’s sick of rebuilding the drum brakes and reckons it’s time the manufacturers stopped their penny-pinching ways.

Rick, the oil guy – Rick is taking a closer look at grease. He’s got a thing for Olivia or is that Lithium? Probably Olivia…

Light my fire – In case you didn’t know how to do it already, Ray has explained the art of fire as a prelude to our regular campfire cooking segment. It is after all just a camp without the fire.

Travel – Intrepid adventurer Glenn Marshall visits Dirk Hartog Island, explores the history, the food and a bloody impressive blowhole.

As always, there’s plenty more and it’s all FREE to read here –
