2017 Holden Trailblazer Z71 Package Announced

The Z71 treatment has been working so well for Holden on the Colorado ute that it was just a matter of time before it became available for the Trailblazer. The 2017 Holden Trailblazer Z71, will initially be limited to a build run of 400 vehicles and priced at a $1,000 premium over the LTZ on which it is based.

The Trailblazer Z71 package adds a bunch of ‘blacked-out’ gear, 18-inch alloys and Z71 logo’d exterior and interior design features. The full list of Z71 extras is as follows;

18-inch painted alloy wheels (from Z71 pickup)
Black Body Side Mouldings
Black Belt Line Mouldings
Black Mirrors
Black Door handles
Gloss black B-Pillar appliques
Z71 Hood Decals
Z71 Head Rest Embroidery
Z71 Floor Mats

You can order your Trailblazer Z71 in either Summit White, Absolute Red, Satin Steel Grey or Mineral Black, the last two being prestige paint colours that cost a $550 premium.

Being based on the LTZ model means the standard equipment list is significant and includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen MyLink infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and SatNav. Climate control air-conditioning is standard.

The LTZ features a reasonably comprehensive suite of safety features, including forward collision alert, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Seven-airbags are standard, along with hill start assist, hill descent control and trailer sway control.

The Trailblazer is powered by a 2.8-litre Duramax 147kW/500Nm turbo-diesel and is available with a six-speed automatic transmission exclusively.

The new special edition 2017 Holden Trailblazer Z71 goes on sale in June.
